The northeastern spanish coast between the french border and even several nautical miles southwest of Tarragona is a special area for people, who enjoy the natural beauty and wildness of the Costa Brava, the international Ambiance of Barcelona and the cultural specialities of the villages and cities even a few miles away from the coastline.

If you charter a boat there, it´s recommended to take your time to see as well the vineyards, the celebrations throughout the year.
Or maybe plan a roundtrip to the Balearic islands of Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza....
You´ll arrive at the international airport of Barcelona, from where very good connections exist to all ports.

Prices vary very much, the closer to Barcelona, the higher, in July and August extremely high prices, and Marinas usually all packed far over each limit!
The area between Barcelona and Port Bou is more natural and spectacular with rocks and mountains, and it is possible to find nice little bays. The southern coast is mostly sandy and does not invite to anchor on open shore - sailing from Marina to Marina or startinmg to visit the Balearic islands is the main demand.
