| Question: | Can I sail with a yacht chartered in Greece in Turkey? | Answer: | Greek charteryachts can enter turkish waters, but must proceed directly to the next Port of Entry (westcoast: Izmir, Cesme, Kusadasi, Bodrum Turgut Reis, Bodrum City, Datca, Marmaris, Goecek, Fethiye, Kas, Finike, Kemer, Antalya) and check in to Turkey. The charterycht is not permitted to sail along the turkish coast and must leave the turkish port directly back to Greece again. If one does sail along the turkish coast without turkish transitlog, the fine can be the "berth-tax" according to the existing brths on board and size of the boat for 1 year and a very high fine. |
